The university offers financial assistance and scholarships to its meritorious students based on their academic performance in proposed National level/State Level entrance exams for the academic year 2025-26.
The categories of Merit Scholarships are detailed below
Vishwaprayag Merit Scholarship-I: This scholarship provides a 100% tuition fee waiver for the first year of the program upto 3% of the total students’ admitted, provided the candidate secures;
- 90 percentile and above for B Tech in JEE or MHT-CET
- 90% and above or equivalent for BBA, BCA programs in MAH-BBA/BCA
- 90 percentile and above for B. Des in MAH-B.Des, NID-DAT, UCEED, DAT, NIFT
- 90 percentile and above for B Pharm in MHT-CET.
- 80% and above in MAH-MBA-CET / CAT / XAT, 90% and above in MAT for MBA Program .
- 80% and above in MHT-CET for MCA program MHT- CET.
(The university may continue the scholarships in subsequent years of the program based on the academic performance and other criteria as decided by the university.)
Vishwaprayag Merit Scholarship-II: This scholarship provides a 50% tuition fee waiver for the first year of the program and is applicable for 8% of the total students’ admitted, provided the candidate secures
- 80 percentile and above for B Tech in JEE or MHT-CET
- 80% and above or equivalent for BBA, BCA programs in MAH-BBA/BCA
- 80 percentile and above for B. Des in MAH-B.Des, NID-DAT, UCEED, DAT, NIFT
- 80 percentile and above for B Pharm in MHT-CET.
- 75% and above in MAH-MBA-CET / CAT / XAT, 85% and above in MAT for MBA Program .
- 75% and above in MHT-CET for MCA program MHT- CET.
(The university may award scholarships in subsequent years of the program based on the academic performance and other criteria as decided by the university.)
Vishwaprayag Merit Scholarship-III: This scholarship provides a 25% tuition fee waiver for the first year of the program and is applicable for 12% of the total students admitted.
- 75 percentile and above for B Tech in JEE or MHT-CET
- 75 percentile and above or equivalent for BBA, BCA programs in MAH-BBA/BCA
- 75 percentile and above for B. Des in MAH-B.Des, NID-DAT, UCEED, DAT, NIFT
- 75 percentile and above for B Pharm in MHT-CET.
- 70% and above in MAH-MBA-CET / CAT / XAT, 80% and above in MAT for MBA Program .
- 70% and above in MHT-CET for MCA program MHT- CET.

The maximum number of scholarships that can be awarded for 2025-26 shall be as given below based on full admissions as per the sanctioned intake. The actual number of scholarships shall be based on the number of admissions in the respective course and the availability of eligible students.

Fee Waiver to Elite Sportsperson: This fee waiver is awarded to deserving sports persons based on their participation / winning the prizes at Nationally / Internationally recognized sports competitions / events. Any candidate who participates / wins a medal at west zone inter-university, all India inter-university, national or international level, while representing MIT-VPU or playing for any Govt. sponsored / Govt. recognized official sports organization [IOA, BCCI, etc.]; in any nationally / internationally recognized sporting event; in individual or team sports; would be eligible for the following waiver for the remaining period of the programme, only if he / she participates and wins a medal on the National / International Level.

If the student has secured a top 5 ranking position in a tournament (Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Shooting, Archery etc.) conducted by or affiliated with a recognized govt. sponsored/Govt. official sports organization or federation at National or International level, then he/she will be eligible for the participation scholarship.
As per the Academic calendar, (i.e. from 1st August – 31st July), if a student has secured a medal in his 12th std. then he/she can apply for the scholarship, provided all the criteria is met, in the 1st year itself. Securing a medal in 1st year, will result in a scholarship being awarded in the 2nd year and so on. In case, a student is in the last academic year, then he/she can apply for a reimbursement in the same academic year only.
Note: An individual or team winning at West Zone, All India level, National or International level would be eligible for any one concession (whichever is higher).
