Admission Process

Indian Applicants

Application & Fee

Fill out the application form online by visiting the university website. Pay an application fee of ₹1000 per program through Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.

Merit-Based Selection

Admissions based on National Level Entrance Exams, Maharashtra CET, or other specified tests. Final selection may include a personal interaction.

Document Verification

Seat allocation confirmed only upon verification of original documents. Failure to produce required documents will result in cancellation.

International Applicants

Qualifying Examinations

Admissions granted based on marks or grades obtained in qualifying examinations, as per eligibility criteria and subject to seat availability.

Equivalence Verification

Eligibility verified by the University's Equivalence Committee and/or the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), wherever applicable.

Provisional Admission

All admissions are provisional until verification of eligibility is completed in accordance with university norms.

Documents for Eligibility

The following documents should be produced in original during the admission for verification. The originals of the Leaving/Transfer Certificate and the migration certificate shall be retained by the university.

Important Notes

Critical instructions and special conditions for document submission

  • In case the Leaving Certificate contains details of nationality and place of birth, it will serve as proof of Birth/Domicile/Nationality.
  • If such information is not present on the Leaving Certificate, a notarised affidavit (as per Annexure 1) on Rs. 100/- stamp paper must be submitted.
  • If any duplicate documents (e.g., Leaving Certificate or mark sheets) are submitted, the student must provide a notarised affidavit in the prescribed format (Annexure 2).
  • In the event of a name change, a government gazette notification must be submitted as proof.
  • The School/Institute is responsible for submitting the original Transfer/Leaving Certificate, Migration Certificate, and any affidavits to the University's Eligibility Section. These documents will be retained permanently. Institutes may retain photocopies for their records.

Fee Waiver to Elite Sportsperson

This waiver of tuition fee is awarded to deserving sports persons based on their participation/winning prizes at Nationally/Internationally recognised sports competitions/events. Any candidate who participates/wins a medal at west zone inter-university, all India inter-university, national or international level, while representing MIT-VPU or playing for any Govt. sponsored/ Govt. recognized official sports organization [IOA, BCCI, etc.]; in any nationally/ internationally recognized sporting event; in individual or team sports; would be eligible for the following tuition fee waiver for the remaining period of the programme, only if he/she participates and wins a medal on the National/International Level.

If the student has secured a top 5 ranking position in a tournament (Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Shooting, Archery, etc.) conducted by or affiliated with a recognised Government-sponsored/Government-official sports organisation or federation at the National or International level, then he/she will be eligible for the participation scholarship.

 

As per the Academic calendar (i.e. from 1st August – 31st July), if a student has secured a medal in his 12th std. Then he/she can apply for the scholarship, provided all the criteria are met, in the 1st year itself. Securing a medal in 1st year will result in a scholarship being awarded in the 2nd year and so on. In case a student is in the last academic year, then he/she can apply for a reimbursement in the same academic year only.

Note: An individual or team winning at the West Zone, All India level, National or International level would be eligible for any one concession (whichever is higher).
